Tooth Resorption

This is a condition that involves the destruction of tooth structure by unknown causes that affects the crown or root of a tooth. This destruction of the teeth is often painful and eventually leads to fracture of the weakened tooth. While more commonly seen in cats, it is also seen in dogs. Dr. Gaddis at Animal Dental Specialists can diagnose and treat tooth resorption; the process involves dental radiography extraction of the affected teeth.
